Tamiflu (Oseltamivir)
Purpose of Medication and Method of Action
This drug has been approved for both the prevention of flu and to lessen the duration and severity of flu symptoms. Tamiflu was able to reduce the chance of developing flu from 4.8% to 1.2 % and to reduce the severity of flu-like symptoms by 30%.
Side Effects
nausea (15%) and vomiting (2.5%).
