Hydroxychloroquine Cream (Lustra)

Purpose of Medication and Method of Action

Hydroxychloroquine cream is indicated for the bleaching of areas on the skin which have become hyperpigmented. This is a common side effect of many drugs including birth control drugs and discontinuation of such drugs will stop but not reverse the hyperpigmentation.

Side Effects

Mild redness, dryness, and stinging.

Cautions and Contraindications

Avoid contact with the eyes.

Usual Dose

Rub in well two times a day or as directed by your pharmacist.
