Biltricide (Praziquantel)
Purpose of Medication and Method of Action
Biltricide is specifically indicated for the treatment of intestinal infestations due to schistosomal infections and infections due to the liver fluke.
Side Effects
The most common side effects (<5%) are: nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.

Usual Dose
3 X 20-25 mg/kg as a one day treatment. The tablets should be washed down unchewed with liquid during a meal. If retained in mouth or chewed, they will be very bitter.
