Allegra (Fexofenadine)
Purpose of Medication and Method of Action
Allegra is an antihistamine which is used to treat symptoms due to allergic rhinitis. It acts by blocking the Histamine-1 receptor.
Side Effects
Side effects are rare occurring in less than 3% of treated patients. They include: increased incidence of colds and flu, nausea, dysmenorrhea, and drowsiness.
Drug Interactions
Both erythromycin and ketoconazole will increase the blood levels of Allegra but no cardiac adverse effects have been noted from this interaction.

None
Usual Dose
One capsule(60 mg) two times a day.
